Welcome

Our Mission
The Cortland County Council of Churches is an ecumenical body. As such, we exists to minister to and serve people of all faiths and creeds both on campus and in the community by living out the teachings of Jesus. In addition, we foster unity and cooperation between distinct religious groups or denominations of Christianity.

Our Vision
The Cortland County Council of Churches will serve as a comprehensive ecumenical resource for faith-based organizations and people of our community. We support an initiative that strives for greater mutual respect, toleration, and co-operation among the world religions.

in 2010

The Interfaith Crew, Reverend Vicki Johnson and SUNY Cortland students, had a busy and enjoyable 2010 year. Some of the highlights of the year included:

• Packing health kits for Haiti
• Sharing a weekly meal called “Stuff that Matters”
• Gathering Sundays at 9PM for worship, games or discussion
• Hosting a study on Jonah for an area confirmation class
• Raising $300 walking in the CROP walk
• Singing “The First Song of Isaiah” during local church services
• Going to church each Sunday morning followed by breakfast and discussions about the services
• Hosting parents of the students for a special lunch

We are proud of the strong support system The Interfaith Crew provides and for the positive influence this group has on all those they touch.
